Abstract

Digital transformation encourages MSMEs to adapt to technological developments in business activities, particularly in financial management. However, low technological literacy and suboptimal financial attitudes remain challenges in utilizing digital services for MSMEs. These conditions make financial technology a tool that can support the effectiveness and efficiency of business financial management. This study aims to analyze the influence of technological literacy and financial attitudes on MSME financial management, with financial technology as a mediating variable. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 160 MSMEs in Madiun Regency selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires with a rating scale of 1–10 and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that technological literacy and financial attitudes have a positive and significant effect on both financial technology and MSME financial management. In addition, financial technology is proven to be able to mediate the influence of technological literacy and financial attitudes on MSME financial management. These findings indicate that improving technological literacy, financial attitudes, and the use of financial technology can support digital transformation and improve the quality of MSME financial management more effectively and adaptively.
